Top Debuts: 1910-1919

Hey guys! I finally have the next installment in the top debuts series! I know it has been a long time since I have done a post in this series but I have more to come. Today we are doing years 1910-1919. So let’s get started.

1910
Ellouise- This was the top debut in 1910 for girls. It was given to 12 babies. Ellouise could possibly mean famous warrior in German. In 2011, 11 babies were named Ellouise.
Halley- This was the top debut for boys in 1910 and was given to 12 babies. Halley means meadow near the hall; holy in English. In 2011, no babies received this name.

1911
Thurley- This was the top debut for girls in 1911 and was given to 12 babies. Thurley means thorn clearing in English. In 2011 no babies were given this name.
Colie- This was the top debut for boys in 1911 and was given to 16 babies. Colie means black in English. In 2011 no babies received this name.

1912
Melrose- this was the top debuts for girls in 1912 and was given to 13 babies. Melrose means bare moor, barren heath in English. In 2011 12 babies received this name.
Woodroe- This was the top debut for boys in 1912 and was given to 25 babies. Woodroe means he who lives by a row of houses by a wood in English. In 2011 non babies were given this name.

1913
Wilba- This was the top debut for girls in 1913 and was given to 18 babies. Wilba means desiring protector in English. In 2011 no babies were given this name.
Vilas- This was the top debuts for boys in 1913 and was given to 28 babies. Vilas means charming in Sanskrit. In 2011 no babies were given this name.

1914
Florene- This was the top debut for girls in 1914 and was given to 14 babies. I couldn’t find a meaning for Florene. In 2011 no babies received this name.
Torao- This was the top debut for biys in 1914 and was given to 17 babies. Torao means tiger boy in Japanese. No babies were given this name in 2011.

1915
Wanza- This was the top debuts for girls in 1915 and was given to 33 babies. Wanza means first in Swahili. No babies were given this name in 2011.
Audra- This was the top debuts for boys in 1915 and was given to 18 babies. Audra means noble strength in English. In 2011 no babies were given the name Audra.

1916
Tatsuko- This was the top debut for girls in 1916 and was given to 14 babies. Tatsuko is Japanese and Australian but I don’t know the meaning. In 2011 no babies were given this name.
Verdun- This name was the top debut for boys in 1913 and was given to 14 babies. Verdun means green knoll in French. In 2011 no babies were given this name.

1917
Nerine- This was the top debut for girls in 1917 and was given to 43 babies. Nerine means sea nymph in Greek. In 2011 no babies were given the name Nerine.
Delwyn- This was the top debut for boys in 1917 and was given to 14 babies. Delwyn means Godly friend; proud friend; bright friend in English and Irish. In 2011 9 babies were given this name.

1918
Marne- This was the top debut for girls in 1918 and was given to 24 babies. Marne means from the sea; sparkling, shining in Latin and Greek. In 2011 no babies were given this name.
Foch- This was the top debut for boys in 1918 and was given to 58 babies. I couldn’t find the meaning of Foch. In 2011 no babies were given this name.

1919
Tokie- This was the top debut for girls in 1919 and was given to 12 babies. Tokie means time of opportunity in Japanese. In 2011 no babies were given this name.
Juaquin- This was the top debut for boys in 1919 and was given to 11 babies. Juaquin is a form of Joaquin in Spanish. In 2011 37 babies were given this name.
